Well, I got the idea to do some trades from my friend ~KingxXxNothing, who is watching me, and is also doing a wide variety of trades.

I will do all types of trades, but what I really would like to do is PORTRAITS. I love drawing people, especially faces, and I just realized I don't have much of that in my gallery.
So send me a picture of yourself, and I will draw it for you for free as long as you make something for me in return. Even if you can't draw or think your work sucks, I don't care, as long as I get an honest attempt at something artsy in return (photos, fashion, manipulations, poetry, painting, etc.).

Haute Gothique

So I was going to participate in the Haute Gothique contest, and I have a whole design in my head, but unfortunately I am traveling and am in Park City, Utah on vacation with very limited Internet, no scanner, and no colors.
I have drawn a pencil sketch of my design, but don't have colors or a scanner to post it. I leave for my return plane on late Sunday night and don't arrive back in California until 11pm. So that means I won't be able to finish it until Monday, and it won't make the deadline. Oh well, guess I'll have to do the next one.

But just to explain:
My design is red and black. The sleeves are like 3 puffs on each side and you can lace up the puffs or take them off if you want. The top puff is red like the bodice, and the two bottom cuffs are black sheer material. The sleeves are the best part.
The top part has a bodice, and the skirt is to the knee and flowing and uneven and cut to look punk-rock like. It is worn with knee-highs and boots, plus gothic/punk hair, makeup and accessories.
I would have to show the picture though.....Maybe I'll still post it if i get a chance...

Well, it's been about a week and a half since I've joined and I already have a lot of messages, comments, deviations, and page views for so little time!!!
I still haven't figured out yet how to add friends. Is that only a subscribed feature???

It's a great community here, and I'm planning on participating in some contests once I find the time. I'm leaving on a PLANE tomorrow for a 5-day trip to Park City, Utah, but if I find time to draw on the plane, I will. No trips to Europe this summer for me unfortunately. I miss Europe.

I've been busy this past week working at my part-time day job doing accounting for a CPA firm (I do taxes, bookkeeping, etc.) and am going for my CPA license.
Then after work I've also been going by my insurance office to sell insurance, do some math tutoring online, and doing notary signings and taking dance classes.

I've been taking hip hop, tap (my fav), and ballroom classes. Dance is another one of my passions....
...And I signed up on two new modeling sites, and have gotten a lot of messages from photographers who want to arrange some upcoming shoots with me. So within the next few months, I should be posting some new photos up!!!

My questions for anyone reading this is:
1) SHOULD I SIGN UP FOR A SUBSCRIBED MEMBERSHIP??? WHAT SPECIAL BENEFITS CAN I GET THAT I WILL REALLY ENJOY?
2) SHOULD I PARTICIPATE IN ADCAST AND SELL PRINTS???

Well, here I am on Deviant Art! The art I like to do consists mainly of fashion design, but also paintings, drawings, jewelry design, poetry, modeling, and photography, which I might get around to posting on here too.

I am a noob/nub here, so please feel free to give me any tips/hints on features.
I have yet to try everything out yet.
Not so sure about doing the prints thing.
To those that are reading this, do you sell your prints on here, and it is something that can you could actually make a living from?

So far this has been a great community. Everyone is nice and friendly, and willing to comment and get comments. I'm getting inspired by seeing everyone's artwork. I'm surprised I didn't go on here sooner! It's also really neat meeting some international people, as I love to travel around Europe and I already speak Spanish, German, and Italian, plus learning several other languages too.
